| Date Started Martial Arts: April 1980 Sensei Mike Bally began his Martial Arts training with Grandmaster Fuzy in April of 1980. First thing right off we can tell you is that nicknames for Black Belts are not allowed, or even used, yet, somehow we do collect them. "Sarge" has hung on Sensei Bally since day number 1. We believe it's based on his military background and was originally promoted within The Ohio Ji Do Kwan Karate Association by Sensei Herrington. Early on, Sensei Bally’s gymnastics training of the Professional Demo Team Kicks, opened a door to advanced gymnastics for them, and helped to earn him a reputation as a committed part of the school. Now you will find Sensei Bally at the dojo on Wednesday evenings teaching Karate as well as his very popular “Sparring Class”. Sensei Bally also has a strong foundation in grappling that has helped to make him a problem solver for our tournament grappling strategy.
